To use with children - Foundation Stage

www.thegrid.org.uk/learning/ict/primary/foundation/This is a new website from the Herts NGfL team especially for the foundation stage. it has loads of printable and downloadable activities, with ideas that link to stepping stones.

 

www.lancsngfl.ac.uk/curriculum/literacy/lit_site/html/earlyyears/alphabet/ This site can be used to help children with their mouse control skills and letter formation. The children have to follow either the marble or the picture with the pointer by controlling the mouse. 

 

www.funwithspot.com The children can enter the world of Spot and his friends using pictures from the Spot books. There are some printable activity sheets and ideas for adults to use the site with children.

 

www.4learning.co.uk/hoobs Familiar characters for the children to learn and play with. Headphones are required.  

www.bobthebuilder.com Excellent interactive site (if you can stand the music), where the children can play games, draw and build a house. 

 

www.postmanpat.co.uk Simple games to play that help with early mouse control.

http://ngfl.northumberland.gov.uk/ict/ A collection of drag and drop activities to develop early mouse skills. The activities can be loaded onto a floppy disk to run on computers not yet connected to the Internet.
